Mahnaz is currently the Senior Vice President of Talent Acquisition and Integration at Avanade, a high tech consultancy and joint venture of Microsoft and Accenture. In this position she is responsible for the development and execution of Avanade’s talent acquisition and integration strategy and corresponding programs to ensure that world class talent is attracted, recruited, and on-boarded by the organization to enable Avanade to achieve its business objectives.
Mahnaz has been with Avanade since 2007 and was previously the SVP, Global Learning and Talent Development. In that role, she designed, developed, and implemented Avanade’s talent management model and was responsible and managed the strategy, execution and communication of customized business solutions that ensure delivery of the best-in-class training.
Prior to Avanade she worked as the Director of Readiness at Microsoft Enterprise and Partners Group and taught at University of Washington Computer and Software Systems.
Mahnaz came to the US as a young girl knowing just a few words of English. Her parents’ dream for all of their children were that they complete their higher education. In her birthplace, Iran, she was denied access as a member of the Baha’i religious minority. So her father borrowed the money needed and sent her to the US “where she could choose who she wanted to become, and express freely what she wanted to say.”
Mahnaz realized her parents’ dream and now holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership with focus on Organizational Development and Human Software Interface. In addition to her position at Avanade, she is also the Founder and the President of Mona Foundation, a 501(c) (3) organization supporting grassroots educational initiatives and raising the status of women and girls. The Foundation supports 18 projects in 10 countries touching the lives of about 40,000 children and their families.
Mahnaz is married to Shannon and has two sons, Paul and Patrick.
